Keelings Wins Business and Finance ESG Biodiversity Initiative Award

Keelings Wins Business and Finance ESG Biodiversity Initiative Award

Keelings were delighted to win the Business and Finance ESG Biodiversity Initiative Award at the Mansion House in Dublin on the 30th of June 2022. Our business is committed to improving and enhancing our impact on biodiversity throughout our business. As stewards of the land, we recognise our close partnership with nature.

Through the use of positive policy changes and commitments from the management team, Keeling’s has developed a company policy focused solely on biodiversity. Through our 4 themes under our Biodiversity pillar; Deforestation & Ecosystems, Farm Management, Pollinators and Water & Soil Health we actively seek to nurture our natural ecosystems, a partnership critical to our success.

As part of our Better World pledge, Keelings is committed to driving sustainability through a greener cleaner more environmentally responsible approach to the production of crops and the management of our farms and facilities. Through our Better World Learning and Development programme, we are training all employees to ensure they are up-to-date and informed on the importance of biodiversity for our business and society as a whole.

The Keelings Love to Grow team launched our Keelings Great Rewilding initiative in Ireland for the second year in a row in 2022. After introducing our own wildflower meadows on the farm, we wanted to share our expertise in wildflowers and biodiversity with our consumers. Since 2021, we have distributed over 400 million wildflower seeds! We are looking forward to continuing our biodiversity initiatives into the future – check out how you can get involved on our dedicated website

David Keeling, CEO of Keeling’s Retail commented: “The response to the campaign last year was extremely positive, and we, as a business, are committed in our journey to help with the declining population of pollinators. We hope that people will join us on this journey again, and together we will help support biodiversity.”

Thank you to Business & Finance Media Group for this recognition and well done to all the teams involved.
