Foreword
As Chief People Officer, I am pleased to introduce our latest gender pay gap results. At Keelings we are deeply committed to creating a workplace where our people matter. Transparency is a cornerstone of that commitment, and this report represents another step in our journey toward fostering equity and driving meaningful change.
Last year, we introduced a series of colleague-focused programs designed to cultivate a more inclusive and equitable environment. These were not just plans on paper; they were strategic, measurable actions aimed at addressing Keelings mean gender pay gap across our three business units which sees Distribution at 7.5%, Farms at 6.6%, and Retail at 7.6%. The national mean gender pay gap in Ireland in 2023 is 8.2% according to the Central Statistics Office*. From embedding inclusive hiring practices and advancing our leadership development, to championing flexible work and family-friendly policies, we have made significant strides in aligning our actions with our values.
This narrative reflects not only the outcomes of these efforts but also the ongoing work still ahead. Addressing the gender pay gap is a complex challenge, but it is one we embrace wholeheartedly. By embedding these into the fabric of our culture and continuously refining our approach, we aim to achieve lasting progress.
Rachel Dalziel
Chief People Officer
