Growing Conditions Required
Warm conditions 16 - 18ºC, glasshouses will encourage an early crop

Handling Requirements
Store in the refrigerator at 3ºC

Irish Season
Strawberries season is the beginning of April to the middle of November, Blueberries are from August/September, Raspberries May/ September and Blackberries June/ July

Eating Experience
Sweet and juicy, delicious with sugar, cream, ice cream or just as they are.

The Healthy Option
Strawberries high iron content makes them therapeutic for anaemia and fatigue. 
Research has show that by eating Blueberries you can help prevent cancer.  Blueberries contain 50% more antioxidents than strawberries, 100% more than Oranges and 400% more than brocolli and spinach.

Interesting Fact
- Have you every eaten a double strawberry? Legend says that if you break the strawberry in half and share it with a member of the opposite sex, you will soon fall in love with each other.    
- The early American Indians valued the wild blueberies. They called them "star berries" because at the blossom end of each berry, the calyx forms a perfect five-pointed star. Their legends tell of a time when children were dying of hunger during a famine and the Great Spirit sent "star berries" to feed them.
