With an annual turnover of approximately €265 million for 2003/2004 Keelings is an extremely successful family run international business.

Introduction
As part of our development plan we have now developed a programme designed to help develop our business through graduates.  This initiative will also link in with our overall succession plan.
We offer a comprehensive development programme designed to develop people for the future.  The scheme involves, on the job training, project work and ongoing training and development and an opportunity to experience the different business units within the Keeling Group.  You will gain experience across a number of different disciplines associated with your selected position, which will be both hands-on and consist of in-house training programme. As you begin to benefit from training then job responsibility increases as you learn and develop.

To start the programme each individual will have their own development plan following a needs analysis, with regular reviews. The overall programme is designed to last 2 years, during which time you will typically complete 4/5 placements (Graduate Programme) and 3/5 placements (Young Manager Programme). Therefore your needs are met in a flexible way.   At the end of that period, you will be placed in a defined role within the selected business unit.

You will be assigned to a mentor for the duration of your programmes.   Your mentor will be responsible for co-ordinating your programme, ensuring that each assignment has a clear set of objectives and that your career is heading in the direction you want it to take.

The primary locations for the Keeling Group are Ireland and U.K.  Your placement will be in either country (one location).  However, depending on the particular speciality you select, this may involve spending times in both countries, including spending time in each of the business units.  This can be discussed in more detail on application.

Training & Development
It is our policy to help graduates/young managers to broaden their skills and vision.  With Keelings, you will achieve this through an induction programme, on the job training, projects and structured training courses.  You will also be encouraged to pursue further study.  Our training and development programme is designed to allow you to reach your full potential within your chosen field of expertise, while providing an overview of how your departments fits into the business.  This will include;
o On the job training
o Company Training programmes
o Opportunities for professional study.

As the programme develops, there will be a number of graduates/young managers in our company at any one time.  You will have an opportunity to learn from each other and share your learning experiences.  A separate development programme will be designed for each selected area where the development needs and training needs will be met for the specific roles that you have selected.
